The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has released a major notification under CEN No. 06/2025 to fill 5,810 vacancies in various Non-Technical Popular Categories (Graduate Level) posts across India.

🎓 Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification:
- A Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university is mandatory.
- Final year students are not eligible to apply.
- Basic computer knowledge is required for all posts.
- For Typist posts, proficiency in Hindi and English typing is essential.
Age Limit (as on 01 January 2026):
- Minimum: 18 years
- Maximum: 33 years

Step-by-Step Process:
- Visit the website and create a new account (if not already registered).
- Once the account is created, mobile number or email ID cannot be changed.
- Candidates can apply for only one RRB region.
Applying to multiple RRBs will lead to cancellation of all applications. - Upload scanned documents, photo, and signature in the prescribed format.
- Pay the application fee online before the deadline.
- Correction Window: Candidates can edit their submitted details between 23 November and 2 December 2025 by paying a correction fee of ₹250 per modification.
🧩 Selection Process and Exam Pattern
The recruitment process consists of multiple stages, all conducted through Computer-Based Tests (CBT).
Phase 1️⃣ – CBT-1 (Preliminary Test)
- Common for all candidates.
- Duration: 90 minutes.
- Total Marks: 100.
- Subjects include:
- General Awareness
- Mathematics
- Logical & Analytical Reasoning
Phase 2️⃣ – CBT-2 (Main Examination)
- Duration: 90 minutes.
- Total Questions: 120.
- More detailed and technical in nature, depending on the post.
Phase 3️⃣ – Skill Test / Aptitude Test
- For Typist Posts: Computer-Based Typing Test (CBTST)
- For Station Master and Traffic Assistant: Computer-Based Aptitude Test (CBAT)
Phase 4️⃣ – Document Verification and Medical Examination
Only candidates shortlisted from CBT and skill tests will be called for the final verification and medical fitness test.
⚠️ Negative Marking Rule
- Each wrong answer will attract a deduction of 1/3 mark.
- Candidates are advised to answer carefully to avoid unnecessary loss of marks.

🏥 Medical Standards
- Candidates who have undergone LASIK or corrective eye surgery are not eligible for posts like Station Master, Traffic Assistant, and Goods Train Manager.
- Once appointed, selected candidates cannot request a transfer to another zone for at least 5 to 10 years of service.
